His comments:

I got the “Balokovic” in a couple of days ago, and I am impressed! The violin looks amazing. There are spots where you can see how the finish is applied, but that is part of owning a hand made rather than machine applied finish violin.

The bridge, which looked a little large and in need of further shaping is actually fitted well, and I was amazed it arrived in great shape despite being shipped with the bridge up. I am assuming the strings are cheap steel strings, and I have perlon cores on the way to replace them.

However, the tone is fantastic for a new violin! I am greatly impressed with the quality for the price, and have left feedback about it already. I am also impressed with the fact it arrived less than 4 days after you shipped it. Keep up the great work!

Jehpin:

I just got my second violin from you. It was delivered 4 days after I paid for it, which is extremely fast, with the post office making a special Sunday delivery.

The violin is beautiful. It’s clear varnish gives it a striking look that my wife was immediately impressed with, and she’s difficult to impress. I replaced the strings with Dominants, and it plays with a beautiful tone. Compared to the Vecchio, it is not as deep, but neither does it sound too high either. It is a beautiful reproduction of a Stradivarius that I believe will get better with age. Though I am not a professional musician, I have been playing violins for 30 years, and I can tell that this is a very fine instrument.

The violin was packed well and it arrived in perfect condition. I’m very impressed with the free case you provided, and I think you are too modest in describing it on your ebay listing. This type of case would be considered mid-range quality by most violin shops.

Thanks again for your eye for craftsmanship, and please do pass my compliments on to the luthier.
